Speaker Spotlight

Katie Garcia is a senior adviser and chief of staff at Logos Consulting Group, where she works with leaders navigating high-stakes moments that demand clarity, discipline, and sound judgment. For more than 18 years, she has advised both established executives and emerging leaders on how to communicate effectively when pressure is high, information is incomplete, and missteps carry real consequences.

Her work focuses on the intersection of leadership behavior, communication strategy, and decision-making—particularly during moments of disruption, crisis, and organizational stress. Katie helps leaders anticipate breakdowns in alignment, manage difficult conversations, and maintain credibility with internal and external stakeholders when scrutiny intensifies. Her experience spans crisis preparedness, strategic communication, and leadership alignment across complex organizations.

In addition to her advisory work, Katie is a contract lecturer at Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where she teaches courses on communicating effectively with leaders and navigating difficult conversations. Her academic work reflects the same practical, real-world focus that defines her consulting—preparing leaders to communicate clearly, calmly, and decisively when stakes are high.

Katie has also guest lectured on crisis communication, strategic communication, and effective feedback at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Across these settings, she is known for translating complex communication challenges into actionable frameworks leaders can apply immediately.

In 2024, Katie was named one of PRSA-NY’s 15 Under 35, recognizing her as part of the next generation of leaders shaping the future of the communications profession. She is widely respected for her ability to facilitate tough conversations, guide leaders through uncertainty, and bring discipline and focus to moments when organizations need it most.
